Helene Sorensen - Dirt

“Dirt”  soil art installation

Dirt can take many forms. In this work it’s a term used to encompass soil, essential for our survival.

Sorensen’s soil art installation, a 2m high tower of soil and potted wheat crops, was presented at Milton Keynes Gallery’s Summer Show. Its balancing cube structure recalls the modernist architecture and minimalist art movement of the 1960s when sustainability was not an issue.
